Superbowl Sunday Open House well attended

I sat an Open House yesterday for an agent in my office. I thought as the game was in the evening there most likely would be buyers out looking in the afternoon. The sunday paper also listed a lot of Open Houses from all the local brokerages, so obviously I was not the only one to think it was worth a try. There was also a For Sale By Owner who had his signs and balloons out as well in the development.

I was not disappointed, 10 groups came through, not one with an agent or working with an agent. Several said they had seen the Open House on the internet. Several were drive bys, who saw the signs and came in. As I blogged last week, there are plenty of buyers out there, many researching on the internet and looking on their own. They do not feel pressured to make a decision, and it is a way to interview agents at the same time. When they are ready they can make contact, however they are out there looking.
