Places to go, things to do, it is what makes a community worth a little more and the Main Line has so many places to go and things to do. Yesterday, I stopped off at the Wayne Art Center.
My primary reason was to stop off and see the photos from the Rob Cardillo exhibit of Chanticleer on show till the 19th of March. But there was another exhibit of paintings and sculptures on display that I took some time to walk through as well. Well worth stopping to smell the roses.
Chanticleer, the feature of the photographs will also open soon and is one of my favorite places to stop by and enjoy the gardens, to step away from the busy rush, and just enjoy the landscapes and vistas.
This weekend out in Westtown is the Chester County Antiques Show to benefit the Chester County Historical Society located in West Chester, well worth a stop as well if in West Chester, the show is being held at the Westtown School and will feature two lectures on Saturday Quilt Scene Investigation and a Study on Ceramics.
Next week on Tuesday evening the Penn State Great Valley Campus has a lecture for local gardeners entitles Going Native - Using Local Native Plants in Your Garden, given by Ray Murphy who is currently a gardnener at Nemours manion and Gardens in Wilmington Delaware, this event is free but you do need to book/reserve at www.sgps.psu.edu/going-native/
These sorts of events, multiple restaurants and coffee shops all add to the value of a community and give added value to the homes located within its borders. I feel blessed to live somewhere with so many events and places to visit that allow me to enjoy life so vividly every day.
