What great Spring weather, sunny and brisk if a little windy. Great weekend for getting things done. I managed to stop by the Chester County Antiques Show on Saturday morning:
This was the booth of Van Tassel & Bauman
Brennan & Mouilleseaux - very eclectic mix but some wonderful pieces
James Kilvington, great pair of 17th century paintings on the back wall.
Lots to see around the show with many of the Main Line Antiques Show exhibitors present as well. Next good show in our area is the Philadelphia Antiques Show out at the Navy Yard April 9th - 12th, with The Armory Show in Philadelphia at the same time in April, then the Brandywine River Museum Show the weekend of May 28th and 29th.
Later that afternoon, showed a home to a new client and managed to get in a little bit of yard work which I then added to on Sunday. It is amazing to me how much work and leaves there are still even though you raked and swept in the fall. But if you want a great looking yard in the summer now is when you need to put the work in, preparing your lawn, and tidying up all the beds so the flowers can shine. Just looking around, it is encouraging to see the bulbs pushing through the earth and everything beginning to sprout, the forsythia is starting to gain some color to the stems promising a rich display of yellow blooms in just a few weeks.
