How many Dunkin Donuts do we need?

Paoli new Dunkin Donuts

For many years we have had a store front Dunkin Donuts in Paoli, just across from the station. Today I was driving through and saw this brand new Drive Thru store, right next door to a well known real estate brand. These two Dunkin Donut stores are only a quarter of a mile apart and I hope that the owner of this one is the same as the owner of the old store, have not had a chance to check on that before writing this. We seem to be having a proliferation of Dunkin Donuts along the Main Line, like banks they seem to be on every corner or in every gas station.

Whilst America struggles with obesity there is a chance every few miles to break your good habit and have something sweet and high calorie be it Dunkin Donuts or another fast food chain always in a mega-size.

It does seem strange, they are everywhere. Plus, I think it is a shame that these large chains take over all the opportunity fir "the little guy" to open a local sucessful coffee shop!

I come from Boston where they originated and if you think there is a lot of them out there, you should come here, they are everywhere.  Some towns have 10 of them!  LOL

Have a great day!

I don't like doughnuts but I hear people on the east coast are in love with their coffee.  Maybe that's the draw here.

Our country does have a problem with obesity and it does seem that more and more fast food options are popping up everywhere offering some fo the fattest food ever created.

Nick & Trudy, "America Runs on Dunkin'" and after this calculation they better start doing it too.

Dunkin Donuts - 2 Blueberry Crumb Donuts = 1,000 calories / 36g fat / 168g carbohydrates / 8g protein

Add a Large Mocha Coolatta with cream to that daily diet and you're at 13,900+ calories per week.  My word, that equates to just under four (4) pounds worth of yet unused energy.  What's for lunch?

*calculated from the official Dunkin Donuts Nutritional Information Catalog
