12 Days of Christmas from Iraq from a US Marine's point of view
As many of you know Jeremy our son is currently in Iraq. His emails and photos are posted at Iraq Diaries. But he also loves to make movies and although he cannot post many of these till he returns from Iraq because of security issues he has been inspired to post his latest video made while in the field. Moved by the season and his love for Christmas he got the guys in his platoon to sing the 12 Days of Christmas. Not everyone was as enthusastic as Jeremy as you will see. But a great chance to see the morale of these young men who are in harms way and how they deal with it. Jeremy is the one with the dirty Santa hat singing the 2nd day of Christmas towards the end.

Nick and Trudy,
Thanks very much for sharing this. I know it must be hard to have your son overseas in harm's way. It looks like his spirits are up, though and he's ministering to the spirits of those close and far from him with this video. May God bless your family and all the troops away from their families.
I can see that your son has a great sense of humor. It looks like all the guys got a kick out of making the video. I thought the credits were impressive too!
Have a wonderful holiday. We will hold your son and all those with him in our thoughts and prayers.
It was a pleasure meeting you both in Philadelphia last week.
So great to put things into perspective.... once again......
PS I have two new soccer balls rolling around in my car :) I hope they weren't just for CHRISTmas, you can send along in another package? I'll drop them by your office when I'm out there.
I think these guys are awesome, they inspire me to stop moaning and to give a little more. I have nothing to complain about and their sense of humor and their level of morale is amazing.
Now if I can only find something to send them to enhance their meals....mmmm...go to go and think on that.
Kim, drop the balls off anytime, call us and we can coordinate, we got about 35 balls over the weekend and will be sending these out soon in batches. Jeremy pumps them up and gives them to each platoon to distribute.
