The Main Line Antiques Show & Surrey Services for Seniors

The Main Line Antiques Show, other events and Surrey Services for Seniors

As you know I manage an antique show for a local charity I support, Surrey Services for Seniors. Yesterday, I was asked to appear on Surrey Solutions a program they film for the local community television network in our township which gets shared with other neighboring community channels as well.

I borrowed some items from some of our local exhibitors and for about half an hour we chatted and discussed the show. If you are local, you can obtain complimentary general admission tickets at the show website  www.MainLineAntiquesShow.com. You can order tickets for the opening night party or order  a collector package which gives you 4 tickets for the opening night preview party which is lots of fun, supports Surrey Services for Seniors and gives you first glimpse at what our dealers have gathered from all over the country and sometimes even from abroad to exhibit.

Other events

You can also order tickets for The Three F's of Art Crime, Fakes, Forgeries and Frauds a talk given by Robert Wittman who was head of the FBI Art Crimes Unit on September 28 at Surrey Services in Devon.

Also following the show on October 7 & 8 Freeman's Auctioneers one of our sponsors are holding a valuation event at Surrey in Devon on October 20, for $50.00 you can get a verbal appraisal of two items. Again you can book online a timed appointment.

Now watch Surrey Solutions, it is about half an hour.

Great video, Nick. I love antique shows. The venue in Charlotte that used to have them regularly closed down last year, unfortunately.

Sheila Anderson it was fun to do

Gabe Sanders thank you and hope you are surviving Irma

Ron and Alexandra Seigel thank you, it is the largest fundraiser the charity holds.

There is lots to do in our area to keep you busy Brian England

Nina Hollander I did that show in Charlotte a long time ago, it was a lot of fun, but I did not sell much, people were looking for decorative items rather than good original items.
