I love discovering new places to eat. Honestly we don't eat out a lot as both Trudy and I enjoy cooking and we don't like being disappointed. However 2018 I am intending to try and discover some new places and inand around Tredyffrin Easttown and share my experiences with you.
We have more than three places we currently love, but for this post I am focusing on these three.
EmJ's, 814 Lancaster Ave, Berwyn PA 19312
Breakfast and lunch it is always worth stopping by EmJ's in Berwyn. Located at the end of row of shops in Berwyn on Lancaster Ave. You will find a welcoming atmosphere, a hot cup of coffee and a great choice of dishes for breakfast and lunch. The specials are always interesting and worth considering even when you have your favorite go to breakfast or sandwich for lunch. Look around and you will realize everyone is local from the local policemen, to township supervisors and many others who all know each other. They haver a small room for private groups and can do special dinners as well, check out their website for any specials or to make a booking for a group.
Nectar, 1091 Lancaster Ave, Berwyn PA 19312
Nectar is one of our top favorites, they are higher end in price and quality of food served than other Berwyn Restaurants, but there is always a a good number of people here for lunch and dinner. We like going for lunch and selecting either one dish like their Fried Rice or selecting from the Express Lunch. We often weaken and share a dessert as well. You have a wide choice of food here, with some excellent Sushi options as well as Chinese Fusion dishes as well. The surroundings are very relaxing although I sometimes feel other dienrs are a little too close for comfort. Nectar hosts many special dinner evenings so worth checking out their website for specials.
Tiramisu, 720 Lancaster Avenue, Berwyn PA 19312.
Trudy loves, Tiramisu. We are not spoilt for choice of Italian Restaurants in Berwyn but this is where we often go. What you will find at Tirmisu is a small intimate dining area, with friendly service and an interesting menu based on a Jewish Roman kitchen, who knew that even existed. Food is plentiful and delicious. The owner is nearly always present and making sure you are well looked after. This used to be a BYOB but now has its license and serves wine and homemade limoncello. You will not feel hungry when you leave Tiramisu. Check their website for times and to make a reservation.
