Just another thing to love about Berwyn!

Every day I drive through Berwyn I love to see our Veterans' Monument. I love that it is right in the heart of the community so we never forget those who paid the price for our freedom.

I also love the design, the flag hangs from an arch which replicates the front of a Conestoga Wagon, many of which passed through the township in years past, and yet it has a very futuristic feel as well. So, in one design there is a nod to the past and a look to the future. Hopefully we will reach a time when no more names will have to be added to the memorial. However I thank every day those men and women who have given their all even though it is not Veterans Day.

There is lots to love about Berwyn and the surrounding area in Tredyffrin Easttown. Good morning Nick. When I saw "Berwyn", I thought you were going to write about a town close to Chicago! Interesting. Enjoy your day!

That is a very nice looking memorial and certainly would be a joy to see on a daily basis.

Nick, it would be a joy driving past this Veterans Memorial, and having a thankful feeling in Berwyn.

Wayne Martin yes there is one near you, many of the local names around here crop up around Chicago. That is due to the railroads I believe.

Brian England it is, I really like it.

Joan Cox Rather than being something easy to forget it is right beside the road and eye catching.

Endre Barath, Jr. we have a strong Veterans group here, mainly older Veterans but very active and they keep it front and center.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD having had a son who lost friends in Iraq I think about them every time I drive past and am very thankful he came home in one piece.
