It is how you see it!

Snow storms can be viewed as a frustration, days lost, work not accomplished, time lost.

Alternatively, you can view them as an enforced time of reflection, time to take a deep breath, meditate, consider goals and strategies, relax and actually enter back into life refreshed and energized.

You can also use it as a time to get some work done that often gets held up because of the every day busyness of life. Decluttering your home office, or your closet, calling prospects, etc.

I did a combination of getting some work done and enjoying the time to read some books I have been meaning to get dug into.

Whatever you made of the "storm" it is pretty to see it with the sun on it.

This morning I could see how much snow we had from the top of our trellis and on the patio. The wind reduced some on the tables, wasn't too bad. But I was glad to have a snow blower to clear our drive.

Snow morning

I love the snow storms....I just hate the snow removal!

Nick, those snow days are fun to get stuff done you would not have otherwise.   Hope that is the last of the snow now!

Storms are a good excuse so to speak to slow down and catch up....blessings in disguise often times!

Vern Eaton we have a snow blower so it wasn't too bad but it was very heavy so I feel sorry for those who had to shovel. I helped out one of our neighbors who is a single Mom.

Joan Cox I am hoping that too.

Very true Kristin Johnston - REALTOR® got caught up on some jobs and thinking that needed to be done.

Nick and Trudy- coming from the south, I was like a kid in a candy store when we moved to Leesburg, VA. The first time it snowed I couldn't wait to get out and shovel the sidewalks! It really is how you look at it.

The first snowfall is the one I love the feeling of of staying in and seeing the wonder around me. Then I am ready for spring.

Hannah Williams that is good news, look forward to seeing the post soon.

Kathy Streib we had a friend of my son from the Marines stay with us one time when it snowed, he was from FL, he was running around outside in pajamas he was so excited. So we just handed him a shovel.

This was late, but it coated everything nicely Debbie Reynolds

Storms can force us to stay inside... Great time to get organized!

It's so pretty if all you have to do is look at it (from Florida).  I grew up in the north and by the time I left, I had seen my fair share of the white stuff.  My attitude towards it changed when I didn't have to shovel it or drive in it.

Snow Days, Storm Days, Hurricane Days....I view them as God's way of making us take a moment and enjoy the important things.

Nick & Trudy Vandekar, 610-203-4543 - That's a lot of snow to deal with and I can see where probably not too many were showing homes. Here in California, we had one rain storm after another with pretty much the same effect. Yes, I got a lot of my marketing projects under way during the days everyone kept off the streets.

Good morning Nick & Trudy Vandekar, 610-203-4543 ,

I'm so glad that Kathy Streib featured your post this morning in her "Ah-ha" moment for the week. You have a great way of looking at the glass half full instead of half empty. Its amazing when you have some forced down time what you can accomplish even f its catching up on some sleep!

Kat Palmiotti and to take time to review goals etc.

Chris Lima very true, live in the moment and don't fight it.

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® yes, we are all dealing with different things that are trying to frustrate our lives. But rather than fight them we can take time to enjoy them and make use of them.

Kristin Johnston - REALTOR® me too, it is much appreciated.

Dorie Dillard yes, there is that choice as well, a couple of moments to snooze, encouraged by our cats.

Good morning Nick. I see things the way you do. It is a chance to do things undone otherwise.

Sheila Anderson you have to seize the day and what it gives you. I know you have that attitude.

Attitude is everything. I like your perspective about the snow - and weather in general. Snow is so beautiful too - especially when you have a snowblower to use for clearing walks and driveways.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD that is very true, your attitude can shape how you respond to life's challenges. And a snowblower is a big help.

Hi Nick and Trudy

That's certainly a more positive way to look at deaing with a storm. I did that for years, and winter finally got the best of me! Love the photo of the cat in you comment - now THAT'S the way to deal with a storm.

Great post. I suggest your resize the image to 100K from 6,888K size as it takes too long to down load.

Beautiful snow scenery.

Jeff Dowler it is hard with the cats snoozing not to be tempted to snooze as well.

Sam Shueh thanks for your advice.

As long as I don't have a long drive or something important scheduled, I love a good storm day. As you say, it's a great opportunity to focus on other things!

Sharon Tara exactly, it all depends what is interrupts or disrupts and how you accomodate that.

Storm days can be productive, but only if everyone else isn’t off! Lol

Posted by Ellen Caruso (Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty) about 2 months ago

Catchy title Nick & Trudy Vandekar, 610-203-4543, and appropriate, too. Keeping a positive attitude and taking opportunities to catch up & clean up are good things for sure!

One nice thing about March storms is that, if you're not in a hurry to get out, they pretty much clean up after themselves in a day or two! Thanks for sharing.
