Main Line Homes Blog

It's all about community!

As a realtor my job is to help people buy and sell houses in Tredyffrin Easttown and along and around the Main Line. But it includes a responsibility to support our communities as well. One of the driving forces in my life is to help others. So, when I do anything I always consider how I can use it to help others even when it is something personal.

I recently decided to embark on a personal challenge, to walk one of the Camino de Santiago routes. These are pilgrim routes dating back thousands of years across parts of Europe all ending in Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I am going to be walking the Camino Portgues from Lisbon to Santiago a distance of 620 kilometers, just under 400 miles.

The way I am supporting my community with this walk is to ask others to make a donation to one of two local charities. Surrey Services for Seniors. You can donate on their web page under the amount you are giving is a box to honor someone you know, we ask that you put Camino in the box that appears so we can track our response.

Alternatively I am asking for donations to the American Heart Association, as part of The Philadelphia Heart Walk you can donate there on:

I leave on September 18 and it will take about a month to complete. You can follow along by following my Facebook page:

Hi Nick... what a wonderful concept and you've certainly got the adventure of a lifetime ahead of you later this month. Will look forward to hearing about your journey once it's over. How are you promoting this cause in your local area?

Nina Hollander in answer to your question a while before I come down to Charlotte, we saw the grandkids at Hilton Head and had come down for a quick weekend in July. I am promoting this through emails, facebook, through my office, my local business association, my blog so just getting the word out as much as I can.

Amanda S. Davidson it is exciting, and I am excited and feeling ready to start, but just going over and over in my head what I am taking, things are going in and out of my pack as I make decisions and change my mind constantly.

Sheila Anderson thanks, the goal is to do some good for others whilst improving myself.

Nick, my Monument clients walked the El Camino last year, and had rain, mud, but so enjoyed it.  Best of luck.

What a trooper you are! And your heart will thank you. Excellent way to spread the "community" across the world, shedding light on many things in our realm. Lisbon is my niece's favorite city that she enjoyed while studying abroad a year ago.
