A new beginning

As we age we go through different seasons of life. There comes a time when we no longer need  a large home, and we may need one level living or even some additional help to live our lives as fully as we wish. What is next?

Living life

I have been a long time supporter of Surrey Services for Seniors that encompasses this in their mission to help seniors age in place and to remain in their community. So much so that as I walk the Camino Portugues from Lisbon to Santiago a distance of 400 miles I am raising funds for Surrey, you can make a donation here just click the honor box and enter Camino as an anonymous donor will be match gifts up to $5000, so double your gift and please be generous.

Today, I got to meet the wonderful team at BrightView Senior Living in Devon and learn about their new project at 301 East Conestoga Road in Devon, PA.

There are so many different options on site, it is wonderful, from studio, one bed and two bedroom options with Independent Living, Personal Care and Dementia Care options. You are sure to find what you need here and best of all there is no up front cost to "buy in" just a monthly rental fee.

Check out the virtual tours on their website in the photo gallery to see the different options and also the main areas.

This is really a great opportunity to have a new beginning, with resort like amenities and services including two meals a day, housekeeping and linen services, fitness center, movie theater and much more, transportation within a wide area, expert resource for family support and education,

If you want further information on this new development, currently under construction then feel free to reach out and contact either Jackie Courtney or Megan Zachmeier at 484-519-0097 let them know we referred you and they will be sure to look after you.

The development looks like it will offer a wonderful option for Main Line Seniors to consider.

Hi Nick and Trudy- My mother-in-law was not in a Surrey facility but was in something similar in Missouri. She went from independent living to assisted to full care and was treated beautifully

It's so nice for people to have a facility in their community and not have to relocated and give up all their friends with the independent living.  Our next house, while it will be still as large as our current one (we want grands to visit often and will make room for them) the all we need on one floor is important to us and we'll build it with aging in place in mind.
