Where can I walk in Tredyffrin Easttown?

Walking is such a basic thing, we can take it for granted. There are many people who suffer disabilities or due to ill health don't have the ability to walk. But for those who do and live in Tredyffrin Easttown you have a lot of options for places to walk. Some of the trails which are paved are also suitable for those who use wheel chairs, some are more rugged and not wheel chair accessible.

It is one of the things we love about the area. Some neighborhoods are better than others for walking. Although we have lived in three homes in the area, since we came to the States 30 years ago, all of them allowed us to walk out the door and enjoy fresh air and some exercise.

On top of this there are many places within a short drive that allow you to walk or hike. In my video today, I hiked with some people from the Appalachian Mountain Club at Valley Forge Park. Last weekend I was at the First National Park on the Delaware border just off Route 202 before it hits 95 outside Wilmington. Closer by there is Ridley Creek, the Chester Valley Trail, the Schuylkill River Trail, Marsh Creek, and for those willing to drive a little further I can think of Hawk Mountain or Gettyysburg.

A great idea if you like walking is to use www.Meetup.com and look for hikes or walks, I am sure you will find plenty throughout the week to keep you active.

Nick,

Nice localism post, and we both enjoy walking.  That is one of the things we love so much about visiting Europe.  We walk 6 hours a day minimum.  A

Nick, it is always a bonus if there are trails to do some walking nearby when you buy!

Nick, this is a wonderful localism post. Both for locals who might be looking for some company with fellow walkers or for those relocating and wanting to see what the area has to offer. Great video to go along with your post!

Joan Cox that is very true, especially those relocating from abroad really miss the opportunities to walk.

Amanda S. Davidson very true and thank you, you set the bar high with your video I saw recently.
