Frigid, but great weather to look at homes

In cold weather many buyers stay home in the warm. But this is great weather to look for homes and get an advantage over those who don't venture out. But you need a realtor who is not afraid of the cold.

Thursday is hiking day, well every day is hiking day. But Thursdays the Appalachian Mountain Club hosts a hike at Valley Forge Park, 6-7 miles. When I got up this morning, although it was blue skies, the temperature was zero degrees Fahrenheit. I was having second thoughts

I decided to go hiking anyway. So dressed in several layers, put some warmers in my gloves and as I headed out, added one more layer and a second scarf to cover my face. Stepping outside the cold made me gasp.

Well, it wasn't bad once we got going. Although my photo below I look pretty cold and my hands were. But out of the wind it was a very nice morning and four of us, including me, hiked together along the trails and had a good time.

Made me wonder if it was this bitter when the continental army was camped here. Maybe they used layers, but I know the stories are that many were barefoot, cannot imagine that in this weather.

I am sure they would have plenty of fires burning throughout the camps but still their clothes are not like ours today.

Whilst it is cold, it is a good time to look for a home in Tredyffrin Easttown or anywhere along the Main Line. Whilst inventory is low, many buyers are not venturing out in the cold weather, but it is a great time to look when others are not. So give me a call, you can see the weather doesn't faze me. Hello Nick -- cold is relartive, isn't it?  While the temperatures and weather vary quite a bit in our two regions, I agree that cooler temps are more conducive for showing off our city versus the dog days of summer.

Michael Jacobs true, cooler is better as you can always add another layer, harder to take off when it is hot as there are only so many layers that are acceptable to remove.

Looks like a great place to hike, but I don't think I would be venturing out into the hills with that kind of cold weather, haha.

Endre Barath, Jr. I sure will. We are all having similar thoughts.

Brian England Valley Forge has miles of trails you can hike and the weather and cold was not that bad once we got walking.

Joan Cox it really was not that bad.

Oh, you do look cold Nick, but, hiking gets the blood pumping and I'm sure those layers helped keep you warm!

Debe Maxwell, CRS I was, more my hands trying to take the photo, but it was brisk as the English like to say. It got loads better as we walked.
