Fall 2019 is now the time to buy a Main Line home?

When the Senior Vice president for your region is upbeat, more so than you have seen him in five years it is usually an indication that the housing market is pretty positive.

For years we have been warning buyers to act now as interest rates are going to rise and all the indications have been there that this was true. But, for various reasons it has not materialized and we are still in a position when interest rates are extremely low, so much so that people think this is the new normal.

So for buyers today things look very positive for purchasing a home, mortgages are available, down payments are reasonable and the only issue is lack of inventory at certain price points.

Yesterday, I got time with Ron Clarke, our Senior VP for the PA/NJ/DE Region of Long & Foster Real Estate and asked him to give his opinion of the market from a buyers prospective.

That was a helpful video with some good insights. Sounds like enlisting you to buy a home on the Main Line (my old stomping grounds from many years ago) is a pretty smart thing to do!

Hi Nick... with rising home prices in many of our markets due to lack of inventory, the time to buy is now and take advantage of low interest rights.

Nina Hollander I think you are right, don't see any real change coming in the inventory levels.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD I was definitely trying for the one to two minute window, interestingly, Facebook now suggests as you upload that it gives preference to videos more than three minutes in length as they get watched more. I think personally people get bored unless it is a cat or animal video.
